The mission of public higher education institutions has traditionally been “excellence in research, teaching, and public service.” Today, public research universities are expected to do even more: collaborate with industry, contribute to their local and regional economies, and document positive outcomes. The leadership challenges of academic medical centers add to the complexity of this higher education enterprise.
Leading higher education institutions in the United States and other countries face the same organizational and cultural challenges. The aim of our University Consulting practice is to help these institutions achieve their research and innovation goals while continuing to fulfill their vital roles of educating students and transmitting knowledge.
Our University Consulting practice provides a number of valuable services to the leaders of academic medical centers and higher education institutions. These include:
