The Washington Advisory Group has been retained by Saginaw Future to develop an economic development strategy in the medical device field for companies in mid-Michigan.  Mid-Michigan is a regional clinical hub and home to Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, and the Delphi-Saginaw Steering division, as well as precision engineering firms in automobile component supply.

D. Allan Bromley, 1929-2005
We were saddened by the unexpected death of D. Allan Bromley, a founding principal of The Washington Advisory Group, on February 18, 2005.  Dr. Bromley had just completed teaching a class at Yale University, where he was the Sterling Professor of the Sciences, when he suffered a heart attack.  Dr. Bromley was an outstanding nuclear physicist as well as an architect of national science policy during the administration of President George H. W. Bush when he served as the President’s top scientific advisor and chairman of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.  He was an early proponent of the “data superhighway,” which later became the internet.  Dr. Bromley was the founder of the A.W. Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory at Yale and its director from 1963 to 1989.  In 1988, he received the National Medal of Science, the nation’s highest scientific award.  His colleagues at The Washington Advisory Group will miss his counsel and pragmatic approach.  Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife and extended family.

The D. Allan Bromley Scholarship for Undergraduates in Science is a tribute to Dr. Bromley's dedication to undergraduate education at Yale University. Gifts in his memory may be sent to:
